My name is Ms. Pike. I am a first grade teacher at Humber Elementary School in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. I graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland five years ago with a Bachelor of Education Degree. I spent my first three years working as a substitute teacher in various schools in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador where I taught kindergarten and grades one, two and three. I then obtained a permanent position at Humber Elementary School and have throughly enjoyed working there for the past two years. I am extremely open to new and creative ideas for helping my students learn and creating a positive and exciting learning environment. I enjoy using a variety of strategies for teaching through different platforms to ensure that students with different learning styles are accommodated for.
